Mera Peak (6,476m) is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and one of the most accessible high-altitude summits in the Himalayas. The climb follows a straightforward glacier route, making it ideal for trekkers with basic mountaineering experience who want to stand on a true Himalayan summit.

From the summit, you'll enjoy panoramic views of five 8,000m peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kangchenjunga.

Pre-Trip Briefing

Two-day pre-expedition briefing in Kathmandu. Day 1: equipment check and permit collection. Day 2: crampon and ice axe technique introduction, emergency protocols, and team bonding.

Local Transport

Domestic flight Kathmandu–Lukla (~30 min). Flights are weather-dependent. Always build in 1–2 buffer days for flight delays.

Important Notes

  • Prior trekking experience to 5,000m+ is strongly recommended.
  • Basic crampon and ice axe training provided at Khare base camp.
  • Summit success depends on weather and individual fitness.
  • Comprehensive rescue insurance covering 6,500m is mandatory.
