The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most iconic trekking routes in the world. Walking through the Khumbu region, you'll pass through Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, and dramatic mountain scenery before reaching the legendary base camp at 5,364m.
This 14-day journey takes you through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche, offering breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam along the way.

Health Requirements
- No serious heart or lung conditions
- Able to walk 5–7 hours per day with a light daypack
- No recent major surgery (within 6 months)
- Consult doctor if over 60 or with any chronic conditions
- Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus
Visa Requirements
- Nepal visa required for most nationalities
- Visa on arrival available at Tribhuvan International Airport

Local Culture Notes
The Khumbu region is predominantly Sherpa Buddhist. Remove shoes before entering monasteries. Walk clockwise around stupas and mani walls. Do not touch religious objects. Dress modestly in villages.

Mandatory pre-trek briefing held at our Kathmandu office the evening before departure. Covers route overview, safety protocols, altitude sickness prevention, and equipment check.

Local Transport
Domestic flights Kathmandu–Lukla operated by Tara Air, Summit Air, and Sita Air. Flight time ~30 min. Flights are weather-dependent and may be delayed. Always allow buffer days.
Important Notes
- Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking and helicopter evacuation is mandatory.
- Acclimatization days are non-negotiable for safety.
- Minimum fitness level: able to walk 5–7 hours per day with a light daypack.
- The trek can be affected by weather; itinerary may change.
- Altitude sickness is a real risk above 3,500m — inform your guide immediately of any symptoms.
